Turn on Tidy Menu Bar
Waindow adds a small divider and a chevron to your menu bar. No permission dialog appears, because none is needed.

A tidy menu bar should not cost a permission.
Menu bar managers usually ask for Accessibility and Screen Recording access before they do anything. Waindow hides your extra icons with a mechanism that needs neither: a Waindow-owned divider simply pushes the icons on its left out of the visible menu bar.

Three steps
Turn on, ⌘-drag once, click to toggle.
The hiding mechanism is the same sandbox-safe technique long proven by Mac App Store menu bar tools: only the width of a Waindow-owned status item changes. Nothing reads your other icons, and nothing watches your screen.
⌘-drag icons past the divider
Hold ⌘ and drag menu bar icons to the left of the divider — those are the icons that hide. Icons on the right always stay. A single first-run card shows this once.
Toggle with one click
Click the chevron, press ⌃⌥H, use the full menu, or search the Quick Panel. Revealed icons hide again on their own after ten seconds.

What Waindow does

What it does not do
- request Accessibility or Screen Recording for this feature;
- read the names or contents of other apps' menu bar items;
- capture, record, or index your screen;
- run any timer while icons are hidden.

- Use macOS itself
- Recent macOS versions can hide and rearrange some icons in System Settings. If that covers you, no extra app is needed.

- Choose a specialist
- If you need condition-based triggers, per-situation presets, icon search with images, or a second bar showing hidden icons, a dedicated menu bar manager such as Bartender or Ice is the stronger fit today.
- Arrangement is yours
- Which icons hide is decided by where you ⌘-drag them, exactly like the standard macOS menu bar. Waindow never moves your icons for you.
- Layout limit
- macOS may reorder status items after login or display changes; if that happens, one ⌘-drag puts an icon back on the side you want.
- Notch limit
- On MacBooks with a notch, macOS itself can hide overflowing icons behind the notch; Waindow's ⌃⌥\ menu shortcut still reaches every Waindow action.
