Waindow privacy policy.

The Waindow app does not require an account and does not collect analytics, telemetry, voice input, terminal activity, AI-tool activity, browsing history, window contents, or memo contents.

Window memos and preferences are stored locally on the Mac. Waindow does not operate a payment, licensing, or entitlement service.

The optional menu-bar activity icon reads only whole-system CPU and memory totals from macOS. It does not inspect individual apps or processes, keeps no history, uploads nothing, and needs no additional permission.

Keep Awake uses macOS power assertions. If the user explicitly enables a closed-lid session in the direct-download MacBook build, a small local fail-safe process waits only for Waindow to exit so normal lid-sleep behavior can be restored. It does not inspect other apps, processes, terminals, or work activity.

Accessibility is used for user-requested window actions. Screen Recording is used only when the user starts a long-page capture, Screen Text selection, or a Studio recording. Screen Text holds the selected display pixels in memory for on-device recognition, creates no screenshot file or history, and writes only non-empty recognized text to the clipboard. Microphone and camera access are used only when the user enables those tracks for that recording. Captures and recording projects stay local unless the user explicitly exports or shares them; Waindow performs no voice transcription or background listening.

Temporary Shelf stores only files, links, or text the user explicitly adds and never watches the clipboard. Mac Status takes one local snapshot when opened and keeps no performance history.

Optional external control is off by default. When the user enables it, Waindow uses a user-only local socket and the signed Waindow executable for Shortcuts, CLI, and MCP requests. It opens no network port and does not expose window titles, document contents, prompts, memo contents, or screen images. Sensitive capture requests require confirmation in Waindow.

The direct-download build can contact the public update endpoint when the user asks to check for an update. Core tools require no online account or cloud service.

The waindow.app website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views, daily visitors, referrers, countries, and device types, including visits to download-start paths with fixed labels such as home, directory, or community. A label describes the public link, not a person, account, or device. It uses no third-party cookie and does not receive a Waindow account or identity because no such account exists. These website measurements are separate from the Mac app and are used only to improve the public product pages and understand whether downloads are reaching people. They never delay a requested download.
